Sporto Boot Spinning?

Spin Classes in Sporto Boots

One of the important considerations for those sporto boots and footwear fans is how versatile are your shoes?! You may think it strange us asking this, but I know myself how much of an annoyance it is carrying around changes of footwear with you, which are often both bulky and heavy, making life difficult. You city workers wearing nice leather shoes, a pair of sports trainers or sporto shoes would be a good consideration would they not? Sporto boots are lightweight, comfortable, and easy to pack in your gym bag or rucksack.

An emerging lunchtime trend is that people are fitting their gym workouts into their lunch hours, due to the limited time issues that we all face these days. So, if Spin cycling is your thing, consider some sporto shoes in the backpack for completing your spin classes. For those who don’t know what spinning is:

Sporto boots for spinning?

Spin is a group exercise workout whereby an instructor heads up a class usually full of 15-20 participants who are all on Spin bikes. The class is simply a varied cycling workout to music, with imagined hill climbs, sprints, and relaxation breaks. Classes vary in length from 30 minute blitzes to hour long sessions. Wearing sporto shoes or boots whilst doing a spin class would offer good support and cushioning in the forefront of the foot. So if you like to Spin (or even cycle) then try it in your sportos, you might be pleasantly surprised! Men’s Sporto Shoes

Mens Sporto Shoes

Sporto shoes come in a wide variety of styles and looks that are suitable for both men and women, however we’ll be considering men’s sportos here. The type of shoe sporto offers usually follows the same kind of format – stunningly finished shoes, high quality fabrics, and a beautiful build quality on both mens sportos and womens.

Categorisation of mens shoes and mens sporto shoes:

Intriguingly, shoes are classified by how they are ‘closed’, that is, the end of the shoe (nearest the toes) is closed in a particular way which gives the style: This is much more well known for womens shoes, as many classic and now timeless designs have meant that their names have become a part of everyday life, for example peep-toe or open-toe. However, many people never realised that mens shoes and sporto shoes are categorised in the same way.

Oxfords – a V shaped slit, known as ‘closed lacing’ attaches these mens shoes laces to a v shaped slit on the vamp. These are the ‘dressiest’ sporto mens shoes on offer, and are ideal for posh occasions or parties.

Bluchers – Or Derbys as they are known in Britain, feature laces tied to two pieces of leather which have been independently attached to the vamp, and so are called ‘open lacing’. Blucher Shoes are still very dressy, but a slight step down from Oxfords Sporto mens shoes.

Monk-straps – This is where you may have heard of this kind of mens shoe before. These strapped shoes use a buckle and strap system over lacing

Slip-ons – The proliferation of slip-on shoes has been amazing, as first suit companies and then sports brands such as Sporto have literally taken them and turned them into a worldwide, million dollar product. With literally no lacings or buckles, slip on loafers often have elastic sides to hug the foot better.

Earlier, we mentioned that women’s shoes are often classified by their toe cutaway. Mens shoes are often known as plain-toes, cap-toes, or Brogues.  The first two shoe styles are rather self-explanatory, but brogues (wing tips in America) are shoes where the top of the shoe is covered with a perforated panel (eg, wing tip). Brogues transcend most shoe ranges as they can be found in both balmoral and blucher styles, but are considered to be less formal than the real ‘dress’ offerings. Sporto have dabbled in most styles of mens shoe, although unfortunately they appear to be less easy to get hold of than previously! We can only source women’s sporto boots and shoes currently!
