Airborn Sporto Boots!

Everyone knows, travelling can be an absolute nightmare. How do you best like to fly? With or without your sporto boots? Do you pack your luggage carefully, by rolling every item up painfully, to get the maximum held in your suitcase, or are you a last minute packer, who just throws everything in at the last moment? Then how do you choose what to actually wear when you go to travel? The easiest way to make this decision is to consider the weather where you are going, not from where you are leaving. It’s all good and well wearing your favourite pair of trainers, comfortable tracksuit bottoms and a warm duck down jacket, but do you really pay attention what goes onto your feet?

Roads in Russia

It snows a lot in Russia

When I decided to wear my sporto boots on a plane, I found it was a  fabulous decision. They felt a bit clunky as I got on, as Sportos can be heavier than most footwear, but luckily they were still comfortable. As my plane set off for Russia I kicked them off and settled down to an awesome seat in business class. There’s not a lot to tell about the flight, other than that my Sporto boots chilled just in front of my seat, and I reclined it and enjoyed sleeping the flight away. Whence I arrived at my destination, it was time to put my Sportos back on. Admittedly getting them all tied up was a little painstaking after being cramped on a plane for however many hours, but once they were on it was time I got off, and comfortably walked down the steps onto the freezing cold Russian snow. Now I was tremendously happy to have my sporto boots on, the warm, furry lining caressing my feet and ankles as the sportos protected me from the bitterly cold snow.  Thanks to my sportos, I had nothing to worry about.

A Changing Sporto World

One of the fastest changes the world is seeing is the rate in which climate change is affecting our planet. If you like sporto boots, as we do, you should he worried by this. It goes without saying that if you’re well equipped with sportos then no weather will trouble you footwear wise – go to the glaciers in New Zealand, you may be a bit chilly but your feet definitely won’t be! Wrapped in warm, premium sporto boots will protect your feet in a few ways – firstly, most are waterproof and as a result will keep your feet dry. Which in wet weather is more important than keeping them warm! Why? Because if you let your feet get wet then they naturally get cold, and the problem is compounded. However with sporto duck boots you won’t have to worry.

Sporto Duck Boot

As I write this article I look outside into the ice and am thankful for having my sportos. For me they definitely do the job. I like how the stitching is nice and secure, how the soles feel solid and are of course grippe, and most of all how your feet feel when walking on snow, your feet snugly encapsulated in the warmth of the duck boot.

Sporto lovers, get to a cold climate and enjoy yourself in your multipurpose boots! If you can’t get hold of sportos where you are; id consider the original old Timbaland or Caterpillar boots, don’t take any chances with the new style of ugg boots currently in fashion, they will wear out before you know it, if the ugg boots my friends have had are anything to go by!

Speaking of ugg boots, they were recently on room 101 as Paloma Faith (correctly) stated that she hates them! Get some sportos instead Paloma!

Sporto Boots and Duck Boots

One thing about hot climates is that it’s unusual to need sporto boots or even duck boots, as most hot climates are not predisposed to ice or indeed, rain. However, the middle east is actually a little different. Being one of the hottest habitable places in the world, where in the summer the temperature reaches a staggering 57 degrees, Kuwait is truly one of the hottest places on earth where people live all year round. It’s hot for about 10 months of the year. However, every Christmas time, ‘winter’ rolls around, and that means it drops to icey levels – temperatures at night of 0 degrees centigrade mean that duck boots or sporto boots may actually be required.

Temperatures of freezing and below mean that sporto boots can be of much more use than you would otherwise think for these blazing hot countries, which become chillingly cold in winter time.

Sporto Duck Boots

Rain in Kuwait

Unlike Asia, the middle east is not particularly humid, and so duck boots aren’t a footwear choice for the arabs. Sporto boots are even less familiar. In countries such as Thailand and Malaysia, where monsoon season brings about a solid 3 or 4 months a year of rain, sporto boots can come in very handy.

The choice is yours when it comes to sporto boots. Granted, a pair of ice boots or duck boots will serve you well when the weather gets chilly, and their robust design will keep you going even when the temperatures touch freezing and there is still sand trying to creep it’s way into your toes!

We’ve felt the cold here in the Middle East and it isn’t pleasant! Get me some warm sporto boots stat!

Driving In Sporto Boots

As we all love our sporto boots and want to wear them everywhere, what better idea than to drive direct to your walking or hiking destination?! With sportos, anything is possible. Save yourself the hassle and trouble of driving hours to a prime trekking or hiking spot, and then having to park up, get out into the mud, and change into your sporto duck boots or other appropriate trekking footwear. This problem becomes even worse if it’s snowing or raining and the ground under your feet waterlogged and damp! This way, you can be wearing the most appropriate clothing and footwear to tackle the outdoors, without any of the associated problems and issues that come with it!

Sporto Boots

The issue most people face when driving in duck boots and sporto boots is that often the sole of the shoe is simply too chunky and rubbery to offer adequate feel and touch when one is attempting to drive! It is no secret that sporto boots are for winter, wet weather and snow conditions, so the idea that one may drive safely in them is rather alien. However, like most versatile pieces of footwear, these duck boots offer a truly grippy and supportive sole, perfect for walking, but less useful for driving!

Duck Boots for Women

Womens duck boots are a much sought after piece of footwear that can be increasingly difficult to find and locate, as Sporto duck boots have grown in popularity over the years. They are now well known on the womens duck boot scene. This is down to many factors, most notably the shift in demand as seasonal variations affect the world. (Or some would say, global warming, though we think that this is a bit extreme!)

As you all know, women are always most conscious when it comes to duck boots and fashionable footwear. This is because of their desire to be seen in the most amazing and best possible light, at all times, regardless of what they’re doing or why. I know some women that won’t even open the front door without full make up on and lots of getting ready time, needless to say they never get their postal deliveries! Now, because of this, it’s imperative that a good pair of womens duck boots are purchased so they can continue this trend. The choice of womens duck boots however depend on the woman in question. Sporto duck boots are fabulous duck boots that will stand tall in icy, snowy, and generally windy and wet conditions, and so are a good starting point for those fashion conscious women that want to look good yet still have a great pair of cost-effective duck boots on their feet. Another bonus with Sporto duck boots is that they are rugged, withstanding the elements and also protecting your feet inside the duck boot! One could even go as far to say that careful planning and route trekking means that you can keep your duck boots on all winter, as they can deal expertly with much of the terrain you can throw at them!

Womens Duck Boot

Comfort

Another important consideration for womens duck boots is how comfortable they are. Fair enough everyone needs a rugged duck boot, even those fashionistas, because no one wants to get wet feet whilst walking in snow and ice, however for those worried bout how good they look (e.g. all women) it’s also important that they don’t rip up and ruin your feet. If you’re going to be wearing your duck boots all day, what happens the next day when they’re no longer on your feet. Will you have horrible blisters and sores on your feet due to your womens duck boots? As you may suspect, this isn’t the professional choice! Who wants to be able to wear boots once before feeling major pain and seeing blood the next day! A good pair of womens duck boots will stop this from happening, for example all sporto duck boots are lined with fur on the inside to keep your feet snug and also dry in bad weather conditions.

Sporto Duck Boots

As you know, we love sporto duck boots, and this article proves no different. Sporto duck boots are the optimum womens duck boot around, with a rugged, grippy sole, which is think and determined to take you wherever you need to go, without fear of falling or tripping over. They are also waterproof and feature a carefully constructed upper part of the duck boot so that there are no issues with tearing or splitting over time, meaning that sporto duck boots are a worthwhile and important purchase for any careful women to own! For some more info check out Sporto Duck Boots. Oh, we mentioned fur lined duck boots earlier, because women especially love these. It’s worth noting that the fur used in womens sporto boots are faux fur, etc, the fur is not real, so do not worry about the dead minks being put inside your duck boots or writing to PETA! Duck Boots are also useful in good weather, even though they are made for the winter conditions, so that is another consideration for many women – Sporto Winter Duck Boots – walk around in womens duck boots in the beautiful winter sun and be the envy of everyone who sees you!

Winter Running Duck Boots

Sporto Duck Boots

Another consideration for many as the cold weather sweeps the nation is how desperate they are to purchase some winter sporto boots for sporting purposes, like walking, trekking, or (possibly not) football. Sporto boots are the perfect winter boot with a fur lined, cosy inside to keep your feet snug and warm. They also feature grippy, rubber soles so that you have faith when you plant your feet in cold or wet weather. However, would sporto boots be a good choice for those of you wanting to keep your sporting activity up during the cold winter months?

Obviously the answer to a question like this is mainly due to personal preference. For example, I’m sure many people will be happy to trek, walk and hike through rough, icy terrain in sporto boots, in fact they’re boots made ideally for this purpose. Running across icy fields or snow peaked mountains may be a little overwhelming at the best of times, the question is how much faith you’d put in a pair of duck boots or sporto boots for running. Consider your options carefully but if you pick a lightweight, rubber soled design then you should be good to go for all terrains. Long live Sporto Boots!

Beach running - barefoot not for winter!

Important Winter running shoe choices

As its winter, you may not wish to go for the standard running shoe or sports boot choices, partly due to the possibly icy conditions and also the effect of the cold on your feet.

The traditional Running shoe has always been a favourite, but it may be worth trying a shoe with a more ‘cross-trainer’ style, with more evenly shared support for the foot, which can help problems like overpronation and arch support. Essentially, always remember to try the shoes on and walk around in them for a while before deciding which to go for. Enjoy! Finally, check out the sporto duck boots at our blog.

Rain Shoes and Sporto Rain Boots

Buy Sporto Rain Boots

An emerging trend especially (it seems) in America is for companies to introduce new rain shoes or rain boots to their existing shoe lines. For example, we know Sporto make fantastic rain shoes and rain boots, though they are usually known as the iconic Sporto duck boots, other companies have also been manufacturing rain shoes for a while now, one of the best known brands being Crocs (those horrible rubber, holey, trampy look shoes, that have won many admirers for their high levels of shoe comfort) but even Ed Hardy, the hip hop, fashionista brand have their own rain shoe booties as they term them. Rain shoes obviously all differ by brand and type, but often feature a similar design – a moulded composite top layer which goes right down to the sole of the shoe, thereby encasing the wearers foot snugly and comfortably, ensuring that they serve their essential boot purpose – that is, to keep the wearers feet dry. The terms sporto rain boots and rain shoes can be easily interchanged, because if you think of the fully encased shoe wrapping around the foot, then it’s obvious to see why they are known as rain boots. However, what each person knows them as will vary, obviously Sporto fans will have thought upon reading this article – wait, aren’t these just sporto duck boots?! Clever reader, we would argue that you are in fact, correct.

The Ed Hardy rain shoe bootie - not like a sporto rain shoe!

However, don’t forget that these days, nothing, at all, is safe from ruin by major corporations or tacky, tasteless celebrities with more money than sense. Money cannot by style as they say, but due to the demand, often rain shoes are remade into ghastly new designs that feature the same original rain shoe or rain boot setting. At what point does the manufacturer focus on style over substance, or indeed style over practicality. If you have a rain shoe that doesn’t do its job of being waterproof, what’s the point in it? Still, people often rave about how great rain shoes look, and the need to be stylish will unfortunately never be overlooked.

Rain shoes are simply temperate and wet weather shoes or boots that are made for soggy or muddy conditions, with the aim of keeping the wearers feet dry. They are NOT the same as winter or snow shoes, as these kinds of boots and Sporto shoes offer extensive grip on the soles to give the wearer safety when required on treacherous terrain.

So if you’re looking to purchase rain shoes or rain boots online, often it is better to simply search for rain shoes, as many companies offer specific sections of their websites devoted to rain shoes. They may not be all of the high quality offered by Sporto, but you will find the type of shoes you’re looking for nonetheless.

Here’s an excerpt from a previous article, not about sporto winter boots per se, but about sporto boots. ”They are about, just seemingly at Amazon… In the short time this site has been running, we’ve searched high and low for good sporto duck boot distributors in the UK.”
Back to the article:

The Google search led me to buzzmillions, whereby there were some boot reviews.

The Sporto Daria winter boot was ranked at number 1
Sporto Daria Winter Boot was ranked at number 1

Womens Sporto Winter Duck Boot Bernice was number 2

The Sporto Womens Bernice Winter boot in white was actually number 3, in black it was at number 2. Consider the above a hybrid winter boot.

Womens Sporto Winter Duck Boot

When choosing your sporto winter boot, the choice appears to be simple. The Bernice winter boot is the favourite, and looks stylish in both black and white, whereas the Daria offers the original winter duck boot. The design is obviously down to personal preference and need. Sporto duck boot can suit various terrains that to be fair, the beautiful Bernice probably can’t. Is it as rugged a boot, even a Sporto winter boot? One comment that must be made is the unique design offered by the duck boot. Great stuff from sporto.
